CHARLOTTE WHARTON, PSA,
CM, will give a workshop at the North Shore Arts
Association, Gloucester, Massachusetts. Charlotte has exhibited her artwork
internationally and has won more than four dozen top awards in juried shows. Her
outstanding work has been reproduced in Rockport Press books, Artists Magazine, and the
North Light Book Club Magazine. She has conducted workshops throughout the United States,
Europe, and Anguilla.

Paint luscious figurative interiors of charm and expression. Learn how to
bring meaning to your paintings using the language of artistic energy. Study will include
and go beyond the standard elements of design to cover the interpretation of the inherent
energy of shape, linear directives, value patterns, color relationships, the Munsell color
system, texture, and the choice of marks. Instructor demonstrations and critiques at the
easel will be provided daily. A group critique will follow the end of the class. All

As a prelude to the NSAA workshop, Charlotte Wharton will be presenting
a complimentary slide lecture at the North Shore Art Association on
August 7th at 2 PM. Showing examples of her work, Charlotte will
highlight the Language of Artistic Energy and the Munsell Color System
and her approach and application of each. Free and open to the public.
