"Plein Air/Landscape Workshops"

The two individual 5-day* (3 day option, see below.) workshops will cover the language of artistic energy and the Munsell Color System. Learn how to interpret "your sense" of the Nature's rhythms and further your own voice using the directives of design.

This study will include and go beyond the fundamentals of composition. Additionally, this workshop will cover the atmospheric principles of light wavelengths and spectrum colors; the two major light sources and their effects seen in Nature; and painting various weather conditions.

After the initial lecture, individual daily critique and instruction will occur at the easel. A group critique will follow the end of the class. All levels of student development are welcome in oil and pastel. For additional information about the artist or the content of the workshop, go to  www.charlottewhartonstudio.com or email Ms. Wharton at charlotte@charlottewhartonstudio.com
